In Russia, a new type of plexiglass has been created: multilayer bulletproof. In terms of strength, it is unlikely to be inferior to tank armor. Glass was created on the basis of the St. Petersburg Defense Scientific and Production Association. The new transparent polymer is called "Anti-Virus +".
The other day the product has already passed one of the most important tests - for bulletproofness. The “Anti-Blame +” was hit by a 5-tonne loader lift mechanism at a speed of 15 km / h. The product was not damaged, maintaining integrity.
To date, glass analogues with such a margin of safety are not on the market.
According to the developers, super strong glass will be in demand in both military and civilian areas. For example, it can be used in areas with increased security requirements, as part of anti-vandal structures.
