Lynx - the weighty word of the German BMP

The domestic military weekly Zvezda appreciated the German Lynx infantry fighting vehicle. As the newspaper notes, the German BMP is an excellent support vehicle. It can suppress enemy firing points, while protecting its soldiers from small arms with its armored body.

Lynx received a case of high-quality steel with additional modules for composite booking, which protect against 25-millimeter sub-caliber armor-piercing shells at a distance of half a kilometer, and on trial reached the fifth level of protection according to NATO standards.

In addition, the Lynx is equipped with a remote-controlled Lance combat module with a 30-millimeter or 35-millimeter automatic cannon, and ammunition for the barrels includes projectiles with a programmable fuse. In addition to the guns, the Lance provides a 7.62-mm machine gun and an Israeli two-charge anti-tank Spike-LR launcher.

Lynx is planned to be produced in the light (38 tons) shock version of the KF31 and the heavy (44 tons) version of the KF41. In the first case, the BMP holds six paratroopers, in the second, nine.
