After the crash of the Tu-22M3, only one crew member survived

The third pilot of the crashed Tu-22M3 bomber died yesterday morning. This was announced by the head of the Murmansk Territorial Disaster Medicine Center, Viktor Rogalev.

According to the medical officer, another pilot of the bomber is currently in serious condition in the intensive care unit of the Olenegorsk central regional hospital.

Recall, on January 22, the Tu-22M3 supersonic bomber-bomber, which performed a training flight, crashed while landing on the Vysokiy airfield of the Murmansk region. The plane hit a powerful snow charge, and then fell on the runway, caught fire and collapsed.

Two crew members died on the spot. Two others were hospitalized.

By the way, the Tu-22M3 is designed to destroy naval and ground targets at a distance of up to 2,200 kilometers from home-based airfields with guided missiles and aerial bombs.
