According to the general director, TsNIITOCHMASH is refining "smart glasses" for combat ammunition of the next level. Designers are waiting for customer representatives to clarify some issues, after which their practical implementation will begin. All work is progressing in a planned manner, the CEO said.
The "friend-foe" complex is designed to recognize targets and prevent "friendly fire", that is, shooting at one's own. Such systems using radar transponders have been used in aviation for many years. The media have repeatedly said that there are plans to adapt such complexes for armored vehicles.
