Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant OJSC MZKT designed and manufactured new wheeled weapons for transporting missile systems.
During the meeting of the State Military-Industrial Committee of Belarus, the chassis was presented, which is intended for the transportation of medium- and short-range missile weapons.
The new chassis is made on the wheel scheme 8 * 8 and is an alternative to a similar product on tracks. It allows the transportation of missile weapons and air defense systems on roads with any surface.
The new chassis family is equipped with an independent hydropneumatic suspension. It has an onboard control system. The chassis design allows you to place on it any of the mobile components included in the rocket armament. This approach simplifies operation and maintenance. The number of required spare parts required for repair and maintenance works is reduced.
The technical details of the new chassis design are kept secret. Meanwhile, it is expected that it will be shown to the general public at the international exhibition of military equipment, which will be held May 15-18 at the Minsk-Arena site in Belarus.
