Development and creation of a product 670.00.000
The design, development and creation of a new mine weapon of increased power began in the USSR in the late 20s. The presence in armament of the naval parts of the Soviet Union of anchor mines of the sample of 1926 did not fully meet the requirements of modern naval warfare. It was necessary to create a more reliable ammunition, equipped with a comfortable and durable case, a platoon mechanism and a warhead of high power.
Work in Ostehbyuro lasted for two years, after which in 1930 a new naval ammunition was presented to the naval leadership. After long tests, the weapon was adopted in 1931 for the armament of the mine-artillery units of the Soviet Navy. New powerful mines were produced until 1939, then mass production was discontinued.
