The unmanned enemy UAV fighter recently passed the first tests at the base of the Novosibirsk aircraft plant. Developers have named a novelty "Hunter".
The new fighter has so far passed only ground tests: it picked up speed on the runway, spent taxiing and stopping. All these operations were performed completely offline.
Before the end of the current year, the “Hunter” will have to consolidate the learned algorithms. It is not planned to launch a UAV into the air. Moreover, it will also take off gradually, at the beginning moderate “jumps” are planned. That is, the “Hunter” will fly up to a small height with the subsequent landing. In the free test flight "Hunter" will send no earlier than the middle of the coming year.
Tactical and technical indicators UAV "Hunter" are as follows: weight - 20 tons, maximum speed of 1000 km / h, tail tail - is absent. The shape resembles a flying wing, created by technology "stealth", in order to reduce its visibility to radar.
It is noteworthy that the similar UAVs with the functions of hunting for their own kind are actively working in the USA, in Europe, and in China. However, according to experts, not a single foreign anti-drone has yet been brought to mind.
"Hunter" will be the prototype of the sixth generation fighter.
