In the summer of the coming year, the first transport assault helicopter Mi-38T will arrive in the army. At the moment, on the basis of the Kazan helicopter plant, the multipurpose Mi-38T is undergoing flight tests.
After completion of state tests, a new modification of the Mi-38T transport and landing helicopter will be delivered to the troops.
It is expected that the two Russian helicopters will initially enter service with the Russian army. However, such a helicopter, as noted in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, has great prospects.
Recall, the Mi-38T was created on the basis of a civilian Mi-38 helicopter. Its upgraded version can be re-equipped for sanitary needs, as well as have additional fuel tanks to increase the flight range.
As previously reported by the military department of the country, combat helicopters Mi-28 “Night Hunter” and Ka-52 “Alligator” will be equipped with unguided heavy high-explosive bombs (FAB), which have long been considered unsuitable for combat helicopters.
