Russia is completing the construction of the Arctic air defense base

In the Yakut village of Tiksi, the construction of the military camp of the air defense forces of the Northern Fleet is being completed.

On the southern coast of the Laptev Sea in the Yakut village of Tiksi, construction of a block-modular military camp is being completed to accommodate military personnel of the air defense unit of the Northern Fleet. Construction readiness of the town today is about 95%.

According to Interfax, the construction process is kept under personal control by the commander of the Northern Fleet, Admiral Nikolai Evmenov.

The military camp includes a dormitory, an administrative building, a diesel power station, a water and fuel storage, and other facilities.

The new air defense division as part of the Northern Fleet will be deployed in the Novaya Zemlya archipelago and in the villages of Dikson and Tiksi.
