Two first attack helicopters Mi-24P, informally referred to as "Crocodiles", arrived at the army aviation brigade located in the city of Kamensk-Uralsky, Sverdlovsk Region.
According to the press service of the Central Military District, these two Crocodiles are only the first signs in the region. For a complete set, the brigade still lacks about 20 helicopters of the same type. They will be delivered to the military unit by the end of this year.
Recall that the Mi-24 “Crocodile” helicopter entered mass production back in 1971. A modification of the Mi-24P appeared in 1981. On arms of this version of the helicopter there is an automatic gun GSH-30K caliber 30 mm. On the previous model was a 23-mm caliber gun.
As for the tactical and technical features, the Mi-24P has a maximum speed of 320 km / h. The maximum flight distance is 1000 km, the combat range is 450 km. It can reach a maximum height of 4.5 km, a static ceiling - 2000 meters. The crew consists of three pilots. The helicopter is capable of transporting up to eight people landing.
