The satellite communications station Р-441-ОВ provides operation through the ESSS-2 satellite relays in the geostationary orbit “Globus-1”, “Globus-1M”, “Globus” and through the ESSS-2 satellite relays in the high-elliptical orbit “Meridian” "In modes with signal processing on board and with direct retransmission in the 4/6 and 7/8 GHz frequency bands, as well as through civilian satellite repeaters of the Express, Yamal type in direct retransmission modes in the 4 / frequency band 6 GHz.
The satellite communications station P-441-OV is intended for the organization of noise-free satellite communications in the interests of military units and units of tactical and operational-tactical levels of command, as well as individual objects of operational and operational-strategic levels of command and control.
The station provides the organization of secret telephone, telegraph, photo-telegraph communications and data transmission with a capacity of 1.2; 2.1; 4.8; 9.6; 19.2 kbit / s when working with similar stations, as well as with stations "Crystal", "Rain", "Legend", R-439KUL.
The serial production of this station and the equipment of the troops began in 2007.
Antenna station control system provides:
- pointing the antenna to the repeater in the range of 0 - 360 degrees in azimuth and + (7-90) degrees in elevation
- Auto tracking on the received signal. Losses on autotracking no more than 1 dB
- software antenna pointing using the chassis angular position data received from the angular receiving indicator of the GLONASS / GPS system
