The American company Boeing has developed a new smartphone for the needs of the government. Manufacturers claim that the innovative device is protected from interception of information: it will self-destruct when trying to steal data. Technical specifications of the smartphone are still unknown, but some parameters were made publicly available.
Boeing company
Most people know this company as an aircraft manufacturer. Surprisingly, it was she who took up the exclusive order from the US government. The OS was based on the Android system, which was subjected to serious modifications. The new smartphone was named "Boeing Black".
Protection of information
Boeing Black’s main focus is on its defensive function. Especially for this, the Boeing PureSecure system was developed, which has several protective layers embedded in the casing of the smartphone and its new operating system. Now the device securely encrypts data. The developers claim that this completely eliminates the possibility of losing important information.
Also, the smartphone is protected from breaking the skin, which can be undertaken in order to gain access to information on the media. The company Boeing said that in this case, the device will self-destruct. By self-destruction means the removal of all data and causing irreparable harm to the components of the smartphone.
Specifications
The smartphone itself will not be available to ordinary citizens, it was originally designed for government officials and people associated with US security. Despite the fact that little is known about the new device, some information still leaked to the media. For example, it will work with micro-SIM-cards. LTE, GSM and WCDMA communication protocols will be available. Also, the device has HDMI and USB ports and can connect to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
The modified smartphone is similar to the usual, but only some of the characteristics. Innovation is a unique encryption that will not allow access to its data. Opening manually will not give any effect due to "self-destruction".
