New victims of the Syrian war: Russian military killed in Deraa

The terrorists of the ISIL organization banned in Russia announced a successful suicide attack on a group of government soldiers in the village of Siira Ziimun in the west of Dera'a province. They report the death of 35 and injuring another 15 people. At the same time, the Islamists claim that among the dead there are also Russian military personnel, although their exact number is not called.

In recent weeks, Dera'a province has become a place of fierce fighting between government forces and local militia. The forces controlled by President Assad, including Russian aviation, are launching brutal rocket-bombing attacks on civilian facilities and urban infrastructure, which has already led to the emergence of several hundred thousand refugees. Now these people who fled from the war are piling up on the border with Jordan.

On July 8, several Arab sources reported the killing of seven Russian soldiers in the village of Um al-Mayer, which is also in Dera'a province. It is not possible to establish the belonging of the servicemen: they could be military policemen, regular military servicemen, and members of PMCs. The Russian military did not comment on this information.
