A cover is used to close the receiver. The front sight has a long base, made on a cylindrical type. The slide is longitudinally sliding, after turning the stem, it closes. The design of the rifle is not included fuse.

Toz-8M
This small-caliber gun is a modified version. It is used for shooting sports and hunting for small animals. The main differences in the design are in the sighting mechanism. Here it is made according to the sector type, which increases the effectiveness of shooting.
Thanks to this device, the shooter can quickly adjust the scope in height. On the front sight there is an additional annular muffler. The shutter has a smaller diameter and is deprived of the coupling: this made recharging more convenient and does not allow gases to escape backwards. The lodge Toz-8 sports version received a wider forearm.
Design TOZ-8
Rifle barrel
In the barrel bore there are four screw threads, two turns each. The length of the groove is 35 centimeters. The rifle number and year of manufacture can be seen on the sighting block, which is located on the Toz-8 barrel.
The base of the front sight is installed in the longitudinal groove on the front of the trunk. On the back of the barrel there are two longitudinal grooves, they are made for the sighting block. There is also a special stump at the back, to which the receiver is attached with a pin. The barrel with the lodge is fastened with a screw, which is screwed into the transverse groove on the front of the receiver.
Receiver rifle
In the receiver box fit the bolt and liner. The box acts as the base for the firing mechanism. It is made in the form of a simple pipe that looks like a continuation of the trunk. The receiver box is attached to the box with a tail screw, which is screwed into the back (in the "tail").
Outside there is a window that is used for insertion of cartridges and ejection of cartridges.
The cap has two functions. The first is to close the channel of the receiver to protect the eyes of the shooter if powder gases penetrate into it. The second is protection from contamination and the elimination of the possibility of a shutter falling out.
Rifle liner
Located in the receiver and fixed trigger spring. Created for:
- The directions of the cartridge in the chamber when loading;
- Reflections of sleeves in the process of throwing after a shot;
- The direction of the shutter when moving forward.
Trigger mechanism
The USM design includes: a trigger, a trigger spring with a stand, a screw and an axis. When the trigger descends from combat platoon, the spring strut drowns with a trigger. The trigger is connected by a spring with an axis. The spring is retracted downward due to two projections on the hook. For movement of the tail there is a limitation that is provided by a protrusion on the front of the trigger.
The trigger spring provides the trigger position in the platoon and limits the movement of the bolt back. With the receiver it is fastened with a screw. At the rear end there is a hole through which the axis passes for fastening with the trigger. There are two slices at the top of the spring: the first is for fixing the trigger in combat platoon, the second is for limiting the movement of the bolt back.
The trigger guard is attached to the forearm with two screws. The trigger passes through a metal gasket with holes under the heels. The hole restricts the movement of the trigger back.
Sight TOZ-8
The sighting mechanism consists of:
- Sight pads. Used to fix the studs and strengthen the spring of the aiming bar;
- Sight bar. Equipped with a mane with a slot used for aiming. You can adjust the sighting mechanism for shooting at different distances - from 25 to 250 meters. The side faces of the slat are equipped with notches for fastening the clamp;
- Lupus;
- Sight spring. Fixes the bar in the desired position;
- Front sight
Gate
The bolt sends the cartridge into the chamber, closes the barrel bore, throws out the cartridge case and is an important element of the shot. Consists of:
- Battle larvae. It is the link of all elements of the shutter. To the right and to the left there are two slots for the ejector and the sleeve reflector. The larva is equipped with a special cup for placing the ammunition cap. The axis of the ejector and the sleeve reflector are placed in vertical holes. Bottom posted rammer. The restriction of the movement of the shutter is provided by the ledge at the rear lower part of the combat larva. The stem of the bolt is put on the stump of the battle larvae. Inside it there is a channel for a drummer;
- Ejector. Throws the cartridge out of the chamber and the receiver with the help of a reflector;
- Cylinder sleeve. Fixes the cartridge in the calyx cup;
- Stalk shutter. Equipped with a hole through which the stud for fastening the drummer with the coupling and the combat larva. There are two small and two large cutouts. Large ones are used to retract the trigger, small ones to limit the rotation of the stem.
Impact mechanism
The design of the percussion mechanism includes:
- Trigger. Designed for installation of a drummer on a combat platoon. Fastened to the hammer with threaded holes and stud;
- Drummer;
- Action spring;
- Coupling. Connects a drummer with a battle larva;
- The Lodge Connects all parts of the carbine and is responsible for the ease of use of Toz-8.
Dismantling the TOZ-8 rifle
Incomplete disassembly
It is carried out according to the following algorithm:
- Branch cap of the receiver. With the finger of your left hand, you need to pull the trigger when the rifle is held with your left hand over the neck of the box. After that, the right hand is required as much as possible to turn the bolt handle to the left up. The shutter is retracted, it is easy to beat the cap to move from the place, after which you can remove it from the receiver;
- Removing the shutter. It occurs by pressing the trigger (it is more convenient to do this with the index finger of the left hand) and holding the handle. No effort is required; the shutter is easily removed;
- Disassembly of the shutter. A detailed algorithm with images must be attached to the instructions with a gun;
- Remove the trigger. Do it yourself is not recommended. It is better to entrust the separation of the hammer to a professional in case of need to replace the mainspring, drummer or clutch;
- Removing the ejector and sleeve reflector. Using a small metal hammer is required to dislodge the stud. After that, the ejector and liner are easily removed from their seats.
Incomplete disassembly is used for cleaning weapons. For cleaning Toz-8, you can use an alkaline compound, a garden solution, gun lubricant or gun grease. After disassembly, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the barrel bore, then proceed to cleaning the receiver, parts of the bolt, the trigger mechanism and the box, observing the sequence.
Complete disassembly
It is carried out according to the following algorithm:
- Incomplete disassembly;
- The separation of the trunk from the box. Having placed the small-bore rifle Toz-8 with the barrel up, you need to firmly fix it with your left hand, after which you can loosen the screw of the stop. Then you need to put the carabiner in a horizontal position and holding it with your left hand, unscrew the tail screw. Placing your finger in the receiver, you must gently lift it up and remove the barrel;
- Removing the trigger. The gun must be fixed in the “downward sight” position, the receiver should be fixed with the left hand, and the trigger spring should be unscrewed. After that, it is easy to separate the trigger;
- Removing the liner. The carabiner is fixed in the position "with the sight up". A small stick to push the liner, after which he himself will fly out of the channel of the receiver.

Preparation for shooting
Before shooting with a ramrod and a soft cloth, it is necessary to clean the barrel bore from lubrication. After the shooting, we must not forget to clean the bore of the barrel from carbon and treat it with lubricant. Do not use hard rags and other abrasive materials: they can damage the bore.
If the weapon is used for the first time, you need to familiarize yourself with the instructions for loading the karabiner and setting the sighting mechanism. It must be set to the distance at which the shooting will be conducted taking into account the destructive power of the rifle.
