The controls are positioned so that the shooter can interact with them without changing the combat position of the hands.
The first prototypes were equipped with an unusual butt, which was presented as a spare store with increased capacity. Practical tests showed several drawbacks: such a butt delivered discomfort to the user, and also damaged the walls of the store. The serial version is supplied with a light metal butt that can be folded on the right side (the ability to install a spare magazine has been preserved). If necessary, it can be completely removed.

Modification of PP-2000 Vityaz
Recently, news sources have information about a new model of a submachine gun, made on the basis of PP-2000. This information is fundamentally wrong. Vityaz is a product of the Izhevsk arms factory. It is based on PP-19-01, and it was carried out on the basis of the AKS-74U and AK-105 assault rifles. Obvious differences with the PP-2000 can be seen in the photos on the Internet.
