The newest Russian drone is now able to transport bulky cargo

A modern drone is capable of lifting up to 110 kilograms of weight into the air and transporting it over decent distances. According to the developers, such a device is applicable for the transport of people who are suitable by weight.

Alexander Begak, the chief designer of this controlled aircraft, reports that such a drone is a multi-rotor, which, when disassembled, can fit in a standard minibus. If necessary, its assembly on site takes approximately 15 minutes, after which it can lift the indicated weights and carry out its task.

The creator of the drone notes that such a device is able to cover a distance of as much as 50 kilometers with a load without additional charge, using only the charge that is already in the battery.

Characteristics of a heavy Russian drone

In order to solve all sorts of tasks in difficult environmental conditions, for example, in the absence of a strip for an aircraft or a suitable platform for a helicopter, the designed drone has specific characteristics.

Firstly, it weighs relatively little and is able to lift weights up to 120 kilograms. In this case, the device itself in stressful situations can be easily moved or even manually moved by several people.

Secondly, the new drone can reach speeds of up to 200 kilometers per hour, which makes such devices fast enough, which means that it will soon be possible to use them, for example, for rescue operations or military missions. Of course, different speeds will be used to transport people and objects.

Thirdly, such an aircraft device, abbreviated as BAS YURIK, can navigate the terrain autonomously, without using the GPS navigation system, as well as without requesting data from GLONASS. This was made possible thanks to the system implemented in this device, which helps the drone to use other resources for orientation in space.

And finally, fourth, such a product does not require a large amount of space for launching or landing. The newest Russian UAV for the transport of large loads is able to land or take off in a very limited space, which greatly expands its scope.

Developers soon plan to present their device at various exhibitions of the relevant technology. The first models of such UAVs will have to demonstrate the speed, convenience and efficiency of such devices in various environments.

This drone was developed and designed by two companies - an NGO called Aerospace Technologies, as well as Electroautomatica Joint-Stock Company. In general, developers have high hopes for the device, seeing the broad scope and versatility of such technology. The drone is perfect for emergency assistance, for transporting victims, for performing various civil and military tasks that require prompt action and accuracy.
