Schmeiser PGSh - characteristics of a traumatic gun

Many successful manufacturers of traumatic weapons at least once, but tried to give the consumer the most compact weapons on the basis of their successful traumatic models. As a rule, many of them were compact, they could be transferred every day as covertly as possible, but there was no talk of high quality and effective shooting.

The complex of the Schmeiser gun was not an exception. The manufacturer tried to create a compact weapon, calling it Schmeiser AE790G1. Of course, it is possible to shoot from this pistol, it turns out to even hit some targets, but in many respects it is inferior to almost all its competitors.

General information about the gun Schmeiser PGSh

In the case when engineers are trying to create small-sized weapons based on their full-fledged products, the maximum reduction in the weapon always occurs. This is done in order to reduce weight. Schmeiser’s traumatic pistol sacrificed his reliability and high resource reserve in order to translate into a class of compact weapons. It is worth noting that it was created on the basis of the gas instrument Schmeiser PSS 790.

Of course, in our years, the weapon is of poor quality, not only because of the initial design, but also because of its substantial age - the AE 790 was born in 2002, during which time the design of the gun did not receive any special changes.

When sales of PGSH just started, it was very popular. People actively took it within a few months after graduation. The first negative reviews from the owners began to appear. In the end, the excitement lasted for about 6 months, after which the people began to listen to current customers and understand that Schmeiser AE790G1 is not so good.

What is the main advantage of the compact Schmeisser?

When you see this gun for the first time, you immediately realize that it will not last long, especially if you use it constantly for entertaining or sports shooting.

PGS developers decided not to bother with the quality of all the details of the weapon. Not only the external parts were poorly processed, but also internal, which carry the largest load, which critically affects the working resource of Schmeisser. Perhaps, low quality is the result of the company's rush to deliver a product to the compact weapon market during its inception in order to derail the maximum profit. Well, they most likely managed to fulfill the economic plan.

It is unfair in the description of a weapon to tell only about its negative sides, when it really has something worthwhile. At a high level, there is the convenience of carrying and operating a tool, which is inherent in many types of compact travmatiki.

The use of light-alloy metals in the construction made it possible to reduce the weight of the implement to 600 grams. Of course, with such a weight indicator it is difficult to call PGSh small, most likely, it is somewhere between the classes of "small" and "medium".

Schmeiser is very comfortable in the palm of any size, all controls are located so that the arrow does not have to use a lot of effort to do something. The gun is convenient to carry in your trouser pocket or in your inner jacket pocket. Due to the low weight, you can even forget that you have a traumatic gun in your pocket.

In addition, the weight of 600 grams copes well with recoil during the shooting. The shooter almost does not feel it, so does not feel any discomfort during the shooting. Although, this is also due to the fact that only weak cartridges can be used here, the medium-sized or powerful design of the PGS simply will not survive.

Technical characteristics Schmeiser PGSh

The main technical characteristics of PGS are as follows:

  • 9mm PA cartridges are used for firing;
  • The barrel of the gun has a length of 84 millimeters;
  • The length of the gun itself is 156 millimeters;
  • The height of the gun is 117 millimeters;
  • The width of the gun is 25 millimeters;
  • The mass of the discharged gun is 485 grams;
  • Exact shooting can be conducted at a distance of 3-5 meters from the target;
  • Shop holds 8 rounds.

The trigger mechanism here, as in many other cases, is made under a double-action scheme with an open trigger and a round hole in the spoke. Sheplato was introduced into USM, which increases the reliability of the whole mechanism, and also allows you to set the trigger on a combat platoon. The pull force is 3 kilograms when the trigger is cocked and 6 kilograms when firing in the mode of pickup. In general, USM at PGS works smoothly, there are no failures.

If the production of this tool, mainly used light-alloy metals, then decided to make the trunk of durable steel to increase reliability. The diameter of the barrel was 6.75 millimeters. The supply of working resource PGS, according to the developers, is 5,000 shots.

The sighting mechanism is also standard: motionless front sight and medium-sized rear sight, which allow the shooter to aim as comfortably as possible. Effective and heap shooting can be conducted at a distance of 3-5 meters from the target, as the distance and accuracy begin to decline significantly.

Conclusion

The traumatic Schmeiser compact class, which was developed on the basis of the Schmeiser PSS 790 gas gun, is of poor quality, especially for 2018. For effective self-defense, it will not work. It can be used as a second weapon for self-defense, as its dimensions allow you to transfer it regularly without any difficulties.
