Ten Sarmat missiles can destroy the entire US population. Such calculations were recently made public by Alexei Leonkov, a military expert at the Arsenal of the Fatherland magazine.
According to estimates by a Russian military expert, the Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile (RS-28) is capable of transferring from 6.75 to 7.5 nuclear megatons, which can kill from 33.75 to 37.5 million people in densely populated areas of the United States.

In 2025 more than 40 Sarmats should arrive in the army. The new ballistic missile will replace the R-36M2 Voyevoda complexes, produced in Soviet times at the plants of the Ukrainian SSR.
