According to information from the commander of naval aviation, Major General Igor Kozhin, it became known that very soon modern unmanned aerial vehicles would come into service with naval aviation of the Russian Navy. This is due to the upcoming modernization of naval aviation, during which it is planned to replace all the aircraft of this military unit. Available models will be written off, replacing with new aviation kits.
"The development of unmanned aerial vehicles that can be based on ships," said Igor Kozhin, was the most important area for research and development. According to the submitted project for the modernization of the aviation fleet of naval aviation, by 2020, more than a hundred of the newest aircraft will be on permanent combat duty.
Ka-135 reconnaissance helicopter
Also, especially for the Russian Navy, a completely new reconnaissance helicopter is being developed, which will be able to correct guidance, giving out the exact location of the enemy. The capability of this aircraft includes a payload of up to 300 kg, and the range of flights is about 100 km. An optical-electronic tracking complex is included in the standard package of the Ka-135. At the moment, his latest revisions and tests are being carried out.
Ka-135 pilotless aircraft designed and built in Russia. His project was first introduced in 2010 by the Kamov company. It is assumed that it will be used in the civil sphere, carrying out aerial survey of the area, as well as a means for monitoring during a man-made or natural disaster. Although it has a relatively large size, but the aerodynamic properties are commendable.
