Fundamentally new shell boxes for shots of the MLRS "Grad" will appear in the Russian troops.
Previously, the container from modern materials was purchased only for the re-closure of mortar shots, as well as shells of howitzers and tank guns. The total scope of supply will be about 125 thousand items. Now in the framework of the innovative project “Development and implementation of modern ammunition capping”, a set of measures is being carried out to develop a new generation of containers. It is assumed that it will last longer than wood, increase the fire safety of arsenals and better protect the contents from mechanical damage.
Unfortunately, the production of containers from polymeric materials has not yet been established by a serial method due to the lack of a national standard for such products.
