The new strategic bomber, better known to the public as the PAK DA, will be built using low-visibility technology. This was stated to journalists by the Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia Alexei Krivoruchko.
On Thursday, he inspected the Kazan Aviation Plant. Gorbunova, and then held a meeting there. The main issue on it was the fulfillment of the state defense order. It is at this enterprise that it is planned to launch mass production of a promising long-range aviation complex (PAK DA).
Currently, the Kazan Aviation Plant is repairing and upgrading the Tu-160 and Tu-22M3 aircraft. One of the main tasks facing aircraft manufacturers is the deep modernization of the Tu-160 strategic bombers to the level of Tu-160M2. Their mass production is scheduled for the beginning of the next decade.

The perspective aviation complex of the long-range aviation (PAK DA) or the “product 80” is a project of a new Russian missile-carrier strategist, which is now being developed by specialists of PJSC Tupolev. Work began in 2009, it is planned that the aircraft will be put into service in 2028 and will replace the outdated Tu-95 and Tu-160.
According to representatives of the Russian military leadership, the PAK DA will be a fundamentally new machine, with a perfect sighting and navigation system and an EW system. He also wants to use as an air platform for launching spacecraft. So far, not even the appearance of the future bomber.
